Advocacy Day

Advocacy is the public support for, or recommendation of, a particular cause or policy. It is an opportunity to meet with policy makers on key substance use issues facing communities and speak on the importance of prevention. Each year coalitions and their youth advocates as well as community partners join for a day at the Capitol to speak up about the importance of prevention.

Advocacy Day T-Shirt Contest

Every year, CCA in collaboration with Drug Free America Foundation, hosts the  advocacy Day T-Shirt Design Contest. The focus of this contest is a way for youth to showcase their talents by designing a t-shirt that symbolizes prevention. To visually show unity across communities, participating individuals and groups wear RED to stand out. Each year, the winning design is featured on red t-shirts that are worn during Advocacy Day.
