Advocacy is the public support for, or recommendation of, a particular cause or policy. It is an opportunity to meet with policy makers on key substance use issues facing communities and speak on the importance of prevention. Each year coalitions and their youth advocates as well as community partners join for a day at the Capitol to speak up about the importance of prevention. To visually show unity across communities, participating individuals and groups wear red to stand out. For Prevention Advocacy Day 2025, Community Coalition Alliance, Inc. in collaboration with Drug Free America Foundation are looking to expand this unified approach and engage youth by hosting a T-Shirt design contest from October 1st to December 13th, 2024 . The focus of this contest is for youth to design a logo or image to symbolize prevention. The entries will be judged by coalitions and partners across participating communities to identify the top design.
