Virtual SPF Application for Prevention Success Training (SAPST)

SAPST is a foundational training designed for individuals entering the field of substance misuse prevention or working in related areas. It is grounded in current research and guided by SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF), which emphasizes a structured, data-driven approach to prevention.
Training Format:
SAPST is delivered as a hybrid training, combining:
- A self-paced online course: Introduction to Substance Abuse Prevention: Understanding the Basics. Please note: this course is mandatory prior to the first day of training. Instructions for accessing and completing the online portion are provided during registration.
- Live, interactive sessions via zoom conference over four days
Training Details:
This is a 4-day virtual training held from October 7–10, 2025, running daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM (ET).
Full attendance is required for all four days.
