Kathleen Roberts

Executive Director 

Kathleen Roberts, MS is the Executive Director for the Community Coalition Alliance (CCA). Her research background has focused on substance abuse prevention and treatment, clinical practice and assessments, co-occurring issues, data analysis and evaluation, and program/strategy implementation at the local, regional, and State levels. Ms. Roberts received her Master of Criminology from Florida State University in 2010 as well as a Master of Criminal Justice from University of Central Florida in 2003. She works with substance abuse prevention coalitions across the state of Florida, providing technical assistance and training on environmental strategies to reduce the impact of substance misuse through evidence-based practices guided by data at the regional and local level. Prior to joining CCA, Ms. Roberts worked with the Department of Children and Families Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH) focusing on behavioral health related programmatic, clinical, and policy areas. In this role, she served as the State’s epidemiology workgroup coordinator, the team lead for the SAMH Clinical Team, and Florida’s National Prevention Network designee. She has been intimately involved in several Department initiatives including substance abuse issues with pregnant and parenting women, Family Intensive Treatment (FIT), the development of the Performance Based Prevention System (PBPS), and the development of the electronic dashboard for the FYSAS. Additionally, she was a Research Associate with Florida State University for over seven years focusing on substance abuse prevention, sexual violence prevention, delinquency, and other areas of behavior through grant funded initiatives. Ms. Roberts currently serves as the co-chair for the Florida Prevention Advisory Council (PAC) and a member of the Florida Prevention Workforce Workgroup. Additionally, she is one of the State's trainer for the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) Curriculum supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).


Lisa A. Jones

Contract Manager 

Lisa has over twenty (20) years of experience working in behavioral health from the grassroots level (volunteer) to the upper management in Indiana and Florida. Lisa has extensive experience and knowledge in working with multiple departments, contracts, and providers and coalitions through her previous role as the Program Manager with the largest Managing Entity in Florida overseeing a budget of $8 million for prevention. Through this role she was required to ensure all the contracted prevention providers and coalitions adhered to the SAPT Block Grant requirements, provided a quarterly block grant report to the Department’s Regional Office, and conduct training and technical assistance throughout the region. Along with providing intensive technical assistance and oversight to the twenty-one coalitions, Ms. Jones is also one of the key trainers for Florida with the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) Curriculum supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). She provides ongoing technical assistance to coalitions across the northeast and southeast region of Florida as well as conducts requested training events.
